In Short

  • Your data stays on your device. FinyxFin stores info locally using SwiftDataβ€”unless you enable iCloud sync.
  • We can't see your financial information. We do not collect, transmit, or access your personal financial data.
  • No tracking, no ads, no data selling. We do not share or monetize personal data.
  • Works offline. You can use the app without internet access; iCloud sync is optional.
  • You control everything. Export, delete, or manage your data anytime.

Data Storage

All financial data created in FinyxFin is stored locally on your device using SwiftData. We do not collect, store, or transmit your data to our servers. If you choose to enable iCloud sync, your data will sync via Apple's iCloud infrastructure and remains encrypted in transit and at rest.

What Data You Store

FinyxFin stores the following data on your device when you create it:

  • Financial accounts and balances
  • Income and expense transactions
  • Bills and payment schedules
  • Loans and payment history
  • Financial goals and budgets
  • Investment information
  • Custom categories, tags, and notes

Security

Your data is protected by device-level security (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID). Data stored on the device is encrypted using the operating system's encryption. Only someone with access to your unlocked device or iCloud account can access your synced data.

iCloud Sync (Optional)

If you enable iCloud sync, your data is synchronized across your Apple devices using Apple’s secure iCloud infrastructure. We do not have access to your iCloud data. You may disable iCloud sync at any time in the app settings.

Import & Export

When importing (for example CSV bank statements), files are processed locally on your device. When exporting, files are saved to a location you choose. We do not upload imported or exported data to our servers.

What We DON'T Do

  • We do not sell your data.
  • We do not share data with advertisers.
  • We do not track your behaviour for analytics or marketing.
  • We do not require creating an account to use the app.
  • We do not use third-party trackers by default.

Your Rights

You control your data. You can:

  • Access all stored data on your device
  • Export data in CSV format
  • Delete individual records or all data
  • Disable optional features (iCloud, notifications)

Permissions

FinyxFin may request the following permissions (optional):

  • File Access: For importing and exporting files.
  • Notifications: For bill reminders (optional).
  • iCloud: For device sync (optional).
